Desk report: High Commissioner for Pakistan Mr. Imran Haider met Mr. Kazi Md. Fazlul Karim, BPM-Sheba, Rector of the Police Staff College, Dhaka, at the latter’s office today, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in police training, capacity building and institutional linkages between the two countries.The meeting highlighted the importance of enhancing professional cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries, particularly through training programmes and capacity-building initiatives.During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further develop cooperation in areas that could strengthen institutional capabilities and facilitate greater exchange of knowledge and professional expertise.The High Commissioner’s visit to the Police Staff College also included a tour of various facilities of the institution. He observed the college’s facilities and activities as part of the visit.He also interacted with course participants at the Police Staff College and exchanged views with them.The visit is expected to contribute to closer institutional engagement and provide further opportunities for cooperation in police training and professional capacity development between the two countries.The meeting and subsequent visit to the Police Staff College underscore the importance of people-to-people and institutional contacts in further strengthening bilateral relations.
