|| Diplomatic Correspondent: US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor said Thursday that there have been “lots of positive developments” in Bangladesh-US relations following his meeting with Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman.Gor made the remarks after meeting the foreign minister at the State Guest House Padma in Dhaka during his first official visit to Bangladesh.“It was great to meet Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman during my first visit to Bangladesh and discuss working together to strengthen the US-Bangladesh relationship. Lots of positive developments,” Gor said after the meeting.Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir and US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen were also present.Gor, who is visiting Bangladesh as US President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy, is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Tarique Rahman during his stay in Dhaka.The visit comes amid efforts by Dhaka and Washington to further strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
