|| Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: A special cleanliness campaign was held in Phulpur municipality of Mymensingh on Saturday as part of efforts to prevent dengue and build a cleaner, healthier town.The campaign was organised by Phulpur Municipality under the slogan "Let's Change Our Habits." The drive began at around 11am and covered several important roads and crowded public places across the municipal area.Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sadhana Tripura, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Municipal Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam, Upazila BNP Joint Convener AKM Sirajul Haque, Municipal BNP Joint Convener Nazrul Islam, acting Amir of Phulpur Upazila Jamaat Zakir Hossain, Municipal Administrative Officer Golam Mostafa, and Mymensingh North District Chhatra Dal Vice-President AKM Ashikul Haque Manik, among others, attended the campaign.Scout members, journalists from different media outlets, and officials and employees of Phulpur Municipality also took part in the cleanliness drive.During the campaign, participants cleaned public areas while urging residents to keep their surroundings free from waste and stagnant water. Leaflets were distributed to raise public awareness about dengue prevention, particularly the need to prevent mosquito breeding. The organisers stressed that maintaining cleanliness is essential not only for preventing dengue but also for ensuring a healthier and more livable urban environment.
