Md. Mizanur Rahman,
Chapainawabganj District: In response to alleged
attempts by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push people across the
border, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has remained on maximum alert along
the Chapainawabganj frontier. To prevent illegal infiltration and push-ins,
additional personnel have been deployed at all Border Outposts (BOPs) under the
53 and 59 BGB battalions, while patrols and intelligence surveillance have been
intensified. The border is being
monitored using modern technology, including night-vision cameras. In addition
to BGB personnel, joint patrols are being conducted with members of Ansar-VDP,
village police, local public representatives, and residents. Public awareness campaigns
are also being carried out through loudspeaker announcements.
BGB officials said
that all key points along the border are under round-the-clock surveillance and
that no attempt at illegal infiltration or push-in will be allowed to succeed
under any circumstances. Enhanced vigilance by the BGB has strengthened
security in the border areas and brought a sense of reassurance to local
residents.
