|| Md Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: A monthly meeting of the Upazila Law and Order Committee was held in Phulpur, Mymensingh, on Monday (July 13) at 10:30 am in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad. The meeting was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Yusuf.Among those who addressed the meeting were Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Municipal Administrator Md. Shafiqul Islam, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Rahat Chowdhury, Phulpur Upazila BNP Convener Alhaj Siddiqur Rahman, Municipal BNP Convener Aminul Haque, and Phulpur Police Station Second Officer Abdul Kader. Also speaking at the meeting were Upazila BNP Joint Convener AKM Sirajul Haque, Phulpur Upazila Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Golam Kibria, Upazila President of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Azim Uddin Jamali, union chairmen and administrators, journalists Humayun Kabir Mukul and Nazim Uddin, along with other members of the committee. Participants discussed a range of issues, including easing traffic congestion at the Phulpur Bus Stand, evicting illegal roadside shops, preventing measles and dengue outbreaks, combating child marriage, eve-teasing, drug abuse, and theft. During the meeting, Upazila BNP Convener Alhaj Siddiqur Rahman announced a donation of Tk 50,000 from the Late Haji Yakub Ali Foundation, established in memory of his father, to the Upazila Education and Scholarship Fund.
