Desk Report: Khilafat Majlis Secretary General Dr. Ahmad Abdul Qader has emphasized the need to protect Bangladesh's independence and sovereignty at all costs. He made the statement at a discussion meeting organized by the Dhaka City South branch of Khilafat Majlis to commemorate the country's Independence Day.
In his speech, Dr. Qader highlighted the struggles of the people of Bangladesh, saying that despite achieving independence in 1971, the country still grapples with issues of equality, human dignity, and social justice. He criticized the successive governments for failing to address these fundamental issues, leading to a decline in moral values and an increase in corruption.
The Khilafat Majlis leader stressed the importance of strengthening the armed forces to protect the country's sovereignty and suggested providing six months of military training to all eligible citizens. He also called for measures to address unemployment and ensure the welfare of the people.
The discussion meeting was presided over by Dhaka City South General Secretary Abul Hosain, where attended by several senior leaders of the organization.
