CN Desk: Crescent Relief London has distributed Eid gifts to 220 Urdu-speaking families living in various camps across Bangladesh, bringing joy and relief ahead of the festive occasion.
Out of the total
beneficiaries, 120 families in Dhaka received Eid packages containing essential
food items. Each package included 4 kg of rice, 2 kg of polao rice, 2 kg of
pulses, 500 g of dates, 2 liters of oil, 3 kg of potatoes, 2 kg of sugar, 2
packets of semai, 3 kg of onions, 2 kg of flour, and 1 kg of salt.
The distribution event
in Dhaka was attended by notable guests, including HID Executive Director
Harun-ur-Rashid, NRC Chairman Md. Sarfaraz, HID Camp In-Charge Aqil Ahmed
Guddu, along with other local dignitaries.
On the same day, Eid
gifts were also distributed to 100 families in Rangpur. The event there was
attended by Union Parishad Member Ekramul Haque Ekra, HID Chairman M. A. Bari,
HID Executive Member Sharfuddin, Awal Dawood, Aqeel Ahmed Munna, and other
community leaders.
The beneficiaries
expressed happiness and gratitude upon receiving the Eid items. Special prayers
were offered for Crescent Relief London’s leadership, including Chairman
Mohammad Rashid, Mohammad Mubashar, Yahya Khan, Tayyab, and Mohammad Mumtaz.
The initiative highlights
the organization’s continued efforts to support vulnerable communities during
important religious occasions.
