Parliamentary Correspondent: The first session of the 13th National Parliament has begun with the Speaker's chair vacant. At the beginning, as per the decision of BNP as the majority party, Parliament Leader Prime Minister Tarique Rahman delivered a welcome speech.

In his speech, he expressed gratitude to those involved in the mass uprising.

Tarique Rahman said, parliamentary politics has begun again in the country, Alhamdulillah.

At this time, he proposed that five-time MP Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain preside over the Parliament.

At this time, MP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir supported this proposal.

On behalf of the opposition party, Deputy Leader of the Opposition MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher also supported this proposal. However, addressing the Prime Minister, he said in Parliament that the government party could have talked to the opposition party before making a universally respected person the President of the Parliament.
