REHAB, Evercare Hospital sign deal to expand affordable quality healthcare

Mohammad Abu Hanif: In a move aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for the country's real estate community, the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) and Evercare Hospital Dhaka have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide corporate healthcare services at discounted rates.The agreement was signed on Tuesday afternoon at REHAB's headquarters in the capital by Dr. Ali Afzal, President of REHAB, and A.M. Abul Kashem Rony, General Manager and Head of Corporate Marketing at Evercare Hospital, representing their respective organizations.Under the agreement, REHAB members, employees of member companies, REHAB Secretariat staff and their legally dependent family members will receive special corporate benefits on a range of healthcare services. These include consultations, diagnostic tests, health screening packages and other specialized medical services at Evercare Hospital.According to the agreement, beneficiaries will enjoy discounts of up to 52 percent on selected healthcare services, making internationally benchmarked medical care more affordable for thousands of people connected to Bangladesh's housing sector.Speaking at the signing ceremony, REHAB President Dr. Ali Afzal said the association's responsibility extends beyond supporting the real estate industry."Housing is not only about constructing buildings; it is closely linked to people's quality of life, safety and well-being," he said. "Ensuring access to quality healthcare for our members and their families is therefore an important part of our commitment. We believe a healthy workforce is one of the key foundations of a sustainable and resilient housing industry."He added that REHAB would continue to introduce timely initiatives focused on the welfare of its members.Evercare Hospital's General Manager and Head of Corporate Marketing, A.M. Abul Kashem Rony, said the partnership reflects the hospital's commitment to making international-standard healthcare more accessible."Through this collaboration with one of the country's largest trade bodies, we will be able to provide entrepreneurs, professionals and employees in the housing sector, along with their families, with quality medical services under special corporate facilities," he said.He expressed hope that the agreement would serve as a strong foundation for long-term cooperation between the two organizations.The ceremony was attended by REHAB Vice President-3 A.F.M. Obaidullah, Vice President (Finance) Dr. Md. Harun Or Rashid, Social Welfare Standing Committee Chairman and REHAB Director A.S.M. Abdul Gaffar Miaji, along with senior officials from both organizations.Representing Evercare Hospital were Corporate Marketing Manager Md. Iftekhar Hossain, Assistant Manager Yamin Ara Anjila and other senior executives.Officials from both sides described the MoU as an important milestone in expanding corporate healthcare services and strengthening institutional collaboration. They expressed optimism that the initiative would make quality healthcare more accessible, affordable and effective for people associated with Bangladesh's real estate sector and their families.
