Kallol Ahmed, Lalmonirhat: The Lalmonirhat District Police convened its monthly crime review meeting on Sunday at the District Police Lines auditorium, reaffirming a strong commitment to maintaining law and order under a strict zero-tolerance policy on crime.The meeting was chaired by Superintendent of Police Asaduzzaman, who delivered key directives aimed at strengthening policing efforts across the district. Senior officers, including Thana Officers-in-Charge (OCs) and personnel from various units were in attendance.Among the notable participants were Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration & Finance) Shahadat Hossain Suma, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Operations) Jinnah Al Mamun, Additional Superintendent of Police (A-Circle) A.K.M. Fazlul Haque, Assistant Superintendent of Police (B-Circle) Joyonto Kumar Sen, and Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Salman Faruk.During the session, a comprehensive review of the district’s crime situation over the past month was presented. Officers discussed ongoing policing strategies and evaluated measures to further enhance public safety. Given Lalmonirhat’s strategic border location, special emphasis was placed on combating drug trafficking and cross-border smuggling.SP Asaduzzaman issued firm instructions to expedite investigations, particularly in high-profile cases, and ensure timely submission of reports. He stressed accountability at all levels, warning that negligence in duty would not be tolerated under any circumstances.In his speech, the Superintendent underscored that ensuring public safety and building a crime-free district remain the Police's primary objectives. He called on officers to uphold professionalism, strengthen community engagement, and deliver more citizen-friendly services to foster public trust.The meeting concluded with the recognition of outstanding police members, as awards were presented to officers who demonstrated exceptional performance in their respective duties.
