The committee has asked information providers to mention their names, identities and contact details. However, it assured that the information received and the identities of the information providers would be kept confidential. The notice said the committee’s objective is not to hold any individual or organisation responsible based on assumptions, but to determine what actually happened and submit an evidence-based report to the university authorities. It urged all concerned to refrain from providing rumours, unsubstantiated statements or misleading information and instead submit firsthand accounts, reliable information and relevant evidence. The committee also sought cooperation from all concerned to ensure that the investigation remains impartial, transparent and credible.
