Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur (Mymensingh) Correspondent:An operation against illegal brick kilns was conducted in Phulpur, Mymensingh on Tuesday by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Shafiqul Islam.During the drive, three illegal brick kilns were fined Tk 6 lakh under the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Establishment (Control) Act, 2013, for operating without environmental clearance, license, and necessary documents.The administration said such drives against all illegal brick kilns will continue in phases.The Department of Environment, Mymensingh, and Phulpur Police Station provided overall assistance in the operation.
