Mymensingh City Launches National Vitamin A Plus Campaign 2026 to Boost Child Nutrition

Rayhan Ahmed, Mymensingh: The National Vitamin A Plus Campaign 2026 was officially inaugurated in the Mymensingh City Corporation area on Sunday, with an aim to improve child nutrition and prevent Vitamin A deficiency among children.

The campaign was formally launched by Mymensingh City Corporation Administrator Mohammad Rukunuzzaman Rokon in the presence of officials and employees of the city corporation.

During the inaugural ceremony, children from all 33 wards of the city received Vitamin A capsules. As part of the nationwide initiative, Vitamin A capsules will be administered to eligible children at designated campaign centres, including the offices of all 33 ward councillors across the city.

The campaign is designed to ensure proper nutrition for children and reduce the health risks associated with Vitamin A deficiency. City Corporation authorities expressed their commitment to making the campaign a success by ensuring that all eligible children receive the life-saving supplement.

Health officials urged parents and guardians to bring their eligible children to the nearest designated centres to receive the Vitamin A capsules and contribute to building a healthier future generation.
