Youth CAB launches membership drive at Chittagong University

CU Correspondent: The Chittagong University unit of the Youth Consumer Association of Bangladesh (Youth CAB) has launched its Associate Member Recruitment Campaign, aiming to engage more students in promoting consumer rights and social awareness on campus.

The membership drive officially began on June 28 and will continue until July 5, 2026.

As part of the campaign, members of Youth CAB are visiting classrooms across various faculties and departments to introduce students to the organization's mission, objectives, and activities. Interactive sessions are being held with students from the Faculties of Business Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Arts and Humanities, Science, and other academic disciplines to highlight Youth CAB's role in protecting consumer rights, advocating for students' legitimate interests, and fostering social awareness.

To maximize outreach, the organization has also launched a campus-wide promotional campaign featuring posters, leaflets, and banners at key locations to encourage students to become members.

Youth CAB at Chittagong University has been actively operating for the past three years, playing a significant role in safeguarding consumer rights, raising awareness about students' rights, and organizing a range of student-friendly initiatives.

The inaugural event of the membership campaign was attended by Youth CAB CU President Rozain Al Rafi, Event Planning Secretary Touhidullah, Planning Secretary Sultan Abu Sayeed, Deputy Research and Development Secretary Akaid Khan, Media Secretary Tanvir Muhammad Fahim, Executive Members Salim, Maria Mim, Shovon, and other members of the organization.

The organization's leaders expressed optimism that the active participation of new members would further strengthen Youth CAB's efforts to serve students and contribute to the broader welfare of society through expanded advocacy and awareness initiatives.
