Justice party welcomes PM's Malaysia, China visits; stresses sovereignty and balanced foreign policy

CN Desk: The Bangladesh Justice Party has congratulated the Honorable Prime Minister on the successful conclusion of his recent official visits to Malaysia and the People’s Republic of China, saying the engagements have advanced Bangladesh’s diplomatic, economic and strategic interests. In a press statement issued from its Central Office recently, the party said the high-level tours have opened “new opportunities in trade, investment, technology, infrastructure development, education, industrialization, and employment” that will contribute to the long-term prosperity of the people. The party underlined the need for an “independent, balanced, and multidimensional foreign policy” to safeguard Bangladesh’s sovereignty, national security, economic progress, and international standing. “We note with appreciation the growing international recognition of the importance of respecting Bangladesh’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, national security, and the universally accepted principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states,” the statement said. It added that relations guided by international law, the UN Charter, mutual respect and sovereign equality provide “the strongest guarantee for Bangladesh’s long-term security, stability, and sustainable development.”The Bangladesh Justice Party affirmed that the country’s independence, sovereignty and national security are “non-negotiable.” A secure, stable and prosperous Bangladesh, it said, is essential not only for its own people but also for peace, stability and economic progress across South and Southeast Asia. The party urged regional and global partners to strengthen mutual trust, constructive dialogue, economic cooperation and shared prosperity. “Lasting peace can best be achieved through cooperation rather than confrontation, peaceful coexistence rather than conflict, and mutual respect rather than division,” it stated. It also called on friendly nations, development partners and the international community to respect Bangladesh’s sovereign right to determine its own future while working together on sustainable development, regional stability and global peace. The statement outlined a broader vision: a world where “justice, human dignity, peaceful coexistence, sovereign equality, and mutual respect form the foundation of international relations.” “The Bangladesh Justice Party remains firmly convinced that diplomacy, dialogue, and constructive cooperation are the most effective pathways toward building a safer, more peaceful, and more prosperous world for present and future generations,” it concluded.
