Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: Police have arrested three alleged drug dealers and recovered 80 yaba tablets during a raid in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh.Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at a rented house on Girls School Road in Fulpur municipality on Friday evening and arrested the three suspects.The arrested men were identified as Masud Mia, 28, son of Abdul Majid of Mugrakanda Charpara village; Toufiq, 30, son of Emdadul Haque of Kaziakanda village; and Osman, 48, son of the late Mofiz Uddin of Kaziakanda (North) village.Police said the recovered yaba tablets are estimated to be worth around Tk 24,000 in the local market.Phulpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Firoz Hossain said the arrested men allegedly collected yaba tablets from different parts of the country with the assistance of unidentified accomplices and sold the illegal drugs in Fulpur and surrounding areas.A regular case has been filed against the accused under the Narcotics Control Act, and they have been sent to the court, the OC said.
