Entertainment Correspondent: In a vibrant celebration of art, literature and values, Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad (Deshiya Cultural Parliament) hosted its much-anticipated Cultural Leadership Program 2026 for the Dhaka South region on Friday.The day-long program was held at the Al-Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar, Dhaka, bringing together 150 delegates from five district and metropolitan branches of the Dhaka South region. The venue turned into a lively confluence of lyricists, composers, singers, playwrights, actors, poets and writers.The program was conducted by Monirul Islam, Office Secretary of Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad, and began with a soulful Darsul Quran by Maulana Abdul Wahab.Chief Guest at the event was prominent educationist and President of the Central Research Department, Mr. Saiful Alam Khan Milon, MP. Renowned writer and social worker Advocate Motiur Rahman Akand attended as the Chief Discussant, shedding light on the role of healthy culture in nation-building.Among the special guests were President of Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad Saifullah Mansur, Secretary Dr. Monowarul Islam, CEO of Kids Creation TV and recitation artist Sharif Bayazid Mahmud, and President of Sahitya Sanskriti Kendra Mahbub Mukul.Alongside insightful training sessions on cultural leadership, the program featured captivating performances of Hamd, Naat, patriotic and regional folk songs, which enthralled the audience of all ages.The successful implementation of the program was supported by Media and Publicity Secretary Salman Riaz, Finance Secretary Oahidur Rahman, Publication Secretary Waheduzzaman Ahmed, Assistant Media and Publicity Secretary Arif Hossain Sabuj and others.Organizers said the program aims to create skilled cultural leadership rooted in indigenous values to lead the next generation towards creative and ethical entertainment.
