Rayhan Ahmed, Mymensingh:A discussion meeting marking International Noise Awareness Day 2026 was held at 11:00 am in the conference room of the Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner’s Office under the “Integrated and Partnership-based Project for Noise Pollution Control.”This year’s theme was — _“No More Noise Pollution, We Want a Healthy Life.”The Divisional Commissioner of Mymensingh presided over the event.Speakers at the meeting highlighted the harmful effects of noise pollution, its growing impact in both urban and rural areas, and the urgent need to raise public awareness to control it. They stressed that coordinated government and private initiatives are essential to prevent noise pollution and ensure a healthy life and quality environment.Officials from various government departments, environmental activists, and representatives of the project were present at the event.
