Unique Achievement alongside Agriculture and Education: Sharif Billah Named Best Imam in Pirojpur District

Pirojpur District Correspondent: Muhammad Sharif Billah, who has already earned recognition for his success in modern agriculture while working as a schoolteacher and imam, has now received another prestigious honor in the religious field. He has been selected as the Best Imam of Pirojpur District.

Sharif Billah is a resident of West Charbaleshwar village under Chandipur Union in Zianagar Upazila, Pirojpur. Alongside his teaching profession, he has been serving as the imam of the local Baitul Hamd Jame Mosque for many years.

In addition to his religious responsibilities, he has become a role model in agriculture by cultivating vegetables, farming fish, and raising cattle and poultry using modern techniques. His initiatives have inspired many local farmers to adopt improved farming practices.

Recently, Sharif Billah received special recognition at the District Conference 2026, organized by the Islamic Foundation, Pirojpur District Office. During the conference, held on June 4, 2026, at the office adjacent to the Pirojpur District Model Mosque, a competition was organized among trained imams to select the district's best imam.

Competing with other participants, Sharif Billah secured first place and was honored as the Best Imam of Pirojpur District. The achievement has further strengthened his reputation in both religious and social circles.

Earlier, he completed the Islamic Foundation's 45-day Imam Training Course, where he achieved an A+ grade and ranked fourth among 103 trainees. He also runs an Easy Quran Learning Center under the Islamic Foundation.

Local farmers have highly praised his agricultural initiatives, saying that his modern farming techniques and guidance have encouraged many others in the community to improve their farming practices.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Moniruzzaman said that Sharif Billah regularly receives technical guidance from the Department of Agricultural Extension and has also benefited from agricultural training and government incentives. He added that the department would continue to provide all possible support for his future initiatives.

With his outstanding contributions as a teacher, imam, and agricultural entrepreneur, Muhammad Sharif Billah has emerged as a symbol of dedication, innovation, and community service in Pirojpur.
