Rally, discussion held in Magura to mark May Day

A colorful rally and discussion meeting was organized in Magura to mark International Workers’ Day and National Occupational Health & Safety Day 2026 with due dignity.

The rally was brought out from the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises on Friday morning. It paraded through the main streets of the town.

A discussion meeting was later held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Member of Parliament for Magura-1, Alhaj Md. Monowar Hossain Khan, attended as chief guest.

Others present included Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kader, Magura District Superintendent of Police Molla Azad Hossain, MP’s Political Secretary and Magura District Krishak Dal President Rubaiyat Hossain Khan, and Magura District Swechhasebak Dal President Abdur Rahim, among others.

Speakers at the discussion highlighted workers’ rights, ensuring safe working environments, and the importance of occupational health and safety.

The event was jointly organized by the Magura District Administration and the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, Jashore.
