Kashmiris continue to suffer under brutal Indian occupation: APHC

CN Desk: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has urged India to take practical steps for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions, stating that India can no longer hoodwink the world by promoting fake normalcy in the occupied territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said in a statement issued in Srinagar that normalcy and peace in IIOJK are directly linked to granting Kashmiris their right to self-determination. He said the Narendra Modi-led BJP government cannot change the reality of the Kashmir dispute through false narratives and the demolition of properties belonging to the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir.

The statement said that Kashmiris continue to suffer under brutal Indian occupation, and India will never succeed in fulfilling its nefarious agenda through brutal acts and its proxies. The APHC also urged Kashmiri social and political activists, particularly the diaspora community, to express their resentment over India’s brutalities in the territory. It urged India to realize that it cannot hoodwink the world by promoting fake normalcy in IIOJK and peddling lies on Kashmir.

The APHC said it is high time for world powers to fulfill the commitment made to the Kashmiris regarding the right to self-determination, and the UN must redouble its efforts to urgently resolve the Kashmir dispute to ensure permanent peace in South Asia.
