New Executive Committee Formed for Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad in Pirojpur

‎Zakir Hossin: ‎Pirojpur, June 20: The Pirojpur District Unit of Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad has unveiled its newly formed 11-member executive committee, reaffirming its commitment to promoting and expanding cultural activities throughout the district.

‎The announcement was made by the organisation’s chief adviser during the concluding session of a daylong cultural workshop held on Friday under the theme, “Swarnali Sambhare Sajai Jibon” (Enriching Life with Golden Treasures).

‎The newly constituted committee elected Sohorab Hossain Jewel as President and Zakir Hossain as General Secretary.

‎The workshop brought together cultural enthusiasts from various upazilas of the district and featured Quran recitation, music, drama, and a range of cultural training sessions. Despite occasional rainfall and the summer heat, participants took part with great enthusiasm, creating a lively and inspiring atmosphere throughout the day.

‎The programme was chaired by Sohorab Hossain Jewel, President of the Pirojpur District Unit, while General Secretary Zakir Hossain moderated the event.

‎Professor Shah Alam, Adviser to the Barishal Regional Unit of Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad, attended as the chief guest. Azad Alauddin, Regional Director of the organisation, was present as the special guest.

‎The training sessions were conducted by distinguished cultural personalities, including renowned lyricist, composer, actor, and content creator Masud Rana, along with Monirul Islam, Office Secretary of Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad.

‎Speakers underscored the vital role of cultural initiatives in preserving the nation’s rich heritage and encouraging engagement in music, recitation, drama, and other creative disciplines. They noted that such programmes inspire young people to embrace cultural values while nurturing responsible and dedicated cultural activists and organisers.

‎The speakers further emphasised that healthy cultural practices promote humanity, social harmony, and peaceful coexistence. Reaffirming its vision, the organisation expressed its determination to build a stronger cultural platform by bringing together talented performers, reciters, dramatists, content creators, and cultural organisers from across the upazilas of Pirojpur district.
