Gaacha Press Club holds scenic ‘Joltorongo Tour-2026’ to strengthen unity among journalists


Ashraf Mondol, Gazipur: In a welcome break from the demands of newsroom life, members of the Gaacha Press Club participated in a day-long annual river excursion titled "Joltorongo Tour-2026", combining recreation, fellowship, and professional solidarity amid the natural beauty of Gazipur.
The colorful event was organized to help journalists unwind from their hectic schedules while fostering stronger bonds of friendship, cooperation, and unity among members of the press community.
The journey began at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31, from Dhitpur Ghat in Gaacha, Gazipur, where participants boarded a beautifully decorated boat for a memorable voyage along the region's rivers and wetlands.
Held under the slogan, "Beyond the Rush of News, Let's Rejoice in the Melody of the River," the excursion attracted enthusiastic participation from journalists of the Gaacha Press Club. The tour also carried the message of education, technology, and unity, reflecting the club's commitment to professional growth alongside social harmony.
Throughout the day, participants enjoyed the serene landscapes, refreshing river breeze, and picturesque surroundings. The program featured informal discussions, reminiscences, cultural performances, and recreational activities, creating an atmosphere of warmth, camaraderie, and shared celebration among the members.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, leaders of the Gaacha Press Club said the annual river tour was designed to provide journalists with an opportunity to relieve the continuous pressures of professional responsibilities while promoting their physical and mental well-being. They emphasized that such initiatives also help strengthen mutual understanding and teamwork within the organization.
