News Desk: The government has asked Hindu temples across Dhaka to organise special prayer meetings on November 7 to mark the observance of National Revolution and Solidarity Day 2026.
In this regard, the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust, under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, issued a letter on Tuesday (November 3), requesting the authorities of major temples in the capital to make necessary arrangements for holding special prayers at a convenient time on Saturday, November 7.
The letter, signed by Trust Secretary Debenath Urang, said the special prayers should be organised seeking peace and progress for the nation as part of the government's programmes to observe the day.
The initiative reflects the government's decision to involve religious institutions in observing the national occasion through prayers and other programmes.
The letter was sent to the presidents, heads and secretaries of major temples in Dhaka, requesting their cooperation in implementing the programme.
Copies of the letter were also forwarded to the senior officials and trustees of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust for information and necessary action.
The directive was issued following a communication from the Ministry of Religious Affairs dated November 2 regarding the implementation of the government's programmes marking National Revolution and Solidarity Day 2026.
The observance will take place on November 7.
