Barishal Dist Correspondent: The Pakistan Education Expo was held at the University of Barishal on Wednesday under the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative, attracting strong participation from students, academics, and local officials.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Md. Humayun Kabir, Registrar [In-Charge] of the University of Barishal; Muhammad Wasif, Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan; and senior officials from the district administration.
Welcoming the delegates, Vice Chancellor of the University of Barishal, Professor Dr. Mohammad Taufiq Alam, appreciated the initiative for strengthening educational cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The Expo featured 20 leading Pakistani universities showcasing higher education opportunities, fully funded scholarship programmes, academic exchanges, and avenues for research collaboration for Bangladeshi students and faculty members.
Students from the University of Barishal and nearby colleges visited the Expo and expressed keen interest in the scholarships and academic programmes offered.
The event was organized under the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
