Jamaat leaders spend Eid day with July martyrs' families in Dhaka

Desk Report: Leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami spent Eid-ul-Adha with the families of martyrs of the July uprising, visiting homes across Dhaka City South throughout the day.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Committee member and Amir of Dhaka City South, MP Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul, led the visits from morning till evening. He was accompanied by other senior leaders including Central Working Council member and Naib-e-Amir of Dhaka City South Dr. Abdus Sabur Fakir, Central Working Council member and Naib-e-Amir Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Assistant Secretary of Dhaka South MP Md. Kamal Hossain, Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Assistant Secretary Dr. Abdul Mannan, City Working Council member and Social Welfare Secretary Shahin Ahmed Khan, DUCSU VP Abu Sadik Kayem, and City Assistant Publicity Secretary Abdus Sattar Suman.

The delegation began their day in Paltan, meeting the family of martyr Kamal Mia. In the afternoon, they visited the homes of martyrs Aslam, Arif, Shahadat Hossain Shaon, Jihad, and Jahangir Alam in Jatrabari under Dhaka-5 constituency. Later, they went to Kutubkhali to meet the families of martyrs Naeem Hawladar, Shakil, and Nasir Uddin. The visits concluded at Sheikhdi near Mukarram Mosque, where they met the families of martyrs Nur Hossain, Jihad Hossain, Ahmad Abdullah, Jahangir Khan, Robin Mia, and Abdul Hannan.

During the visits, the leaders inquired about the welfare of each family and handed over financial assistance along with Eid gifts and other essentials.

Jamaat leaders said the initiative was part of their commitment to stand beside the families who sacrificed their loved ones during the July uprising, and to share the spirit of sacrifice and solidarity this Eid.
