Zakir Hossain, Pirojpur: Panic and anxiety gripped Mathbaria Upazila of Pirojpur after two men were allegedly murdered in separate incidents within a single night, sending shockwaves through the local community.According to local sources, Abdur Rashid, son of late Nur Mohammad and resident of Ward No. 4 under 8 No. Amragachhia Union, was called out from his home around 11:00 PM on Saturday. His body was found lying near the maktabkhana adjacent to Nehalia Madrasa early Sunday morning. Locals informed police, who rushed to the scene and began an investigation.In another incident in the same area, Sagar, son of Md. Kalu Mia and father of one child, was also reportedly killed. News of Sagar’s death has cast a pall of grief over his family and relatives.Locals claim both victims were the sole breadwinners of their families.
