Memorial and prayer Mahfil held for late Alhaj Firoj Master Khan in Gazipur

Abu Sayeed Chowdhury: A memorial meeting and prayer mahfil was held on Friday, May 29, after Maghrib prayers at Khan Bari, Bhadun village, Ward 41, Gazipur Metropolitan City, in remembrance of Alhaj Firoz Master Khan, former President of erstwhile Pubail Union BNP.

Ward 41 residents, political leaders, and community members attended. Speakers recalled Firoz Master Khan as a simple, non-partisan leader who promoted communal harmony among all faiths and contributed greatly as a student, teacher, and politician.

Presiding over the event, his elder brother Brigadier General (Retd.) Md. Sirajul Islam Sikder sought prayers for his soul and urged support for his younger brother, Alhaj Asad Hosen Khan Bulbul, candidate for Ward 41 Councilor, to serve the poor.

Dignitaries present included former councilors Alhaj Sultan Uddin Ahmed and Nazrul Islam Khan Biki, Crescent Chemical Director Saiful Islam Khan, Dr. Afzal Hosen Khan, journalist Akhtar Hosen, and leaders of BNP and Sramik Dal.

The Khan family prayed for his eternal peace in Jannatul Ferdous.

Brigadier General (Retd) Sirazul Islam Sikder presided over the event.
