OC holds dialogue with traders to strengthen community policing and public safety

Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: Mohammad Firoz Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pulpur Police Station held a discussion meeting with the leaders of the Amuyakanda Bazar Business Association on Thursday night to enhance cooperation between the police and the local business community and promote public safety.

The meeting focused on a range of public concerns, including traffic congestion, drug abuse, child marriage, gambling, theft, and other law-and-order issues. The OC emphasized the importance of public awareness and collective action in preventing crime and maintaining peace in the locality. He also urged traders and residents to work closely with the police by reporting suspicious activities and supporting community policing initiatives.

Among those present were Adviser to the Amuyakanda Bazar Business Association and Convener of Phulpur Upazila BNP, Alhaj Siddikur Rahman; Joint Convener of Phulpur Upazila BNP and Association Adviser, AKM Sirajul Haque; Association President Alhaj Shariful Islam; General Secretary Jahangir Hossain; prominent businessmen Haji Lutfor Rahman, Rafiqul Islam, Hafizur Rahman, Abdul Kadir, Safir Uddin, Monjurul Haque Shanto, Nazmul Hasan, Shafiqul Islam, and Anwar Hossain.

Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Information and Publicity Secretary of the Amuyakanda Bazar Business Association; Faruk Ahmed, Joint Convener of Mymensingh North District Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal; Delwar Hossain, Member Secretary of Fulpur Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal; Mizanur Rahman Duranta, President of the Municipal Swechchhasebak Dal; Helal Uddin, Member Secretary of the Municipal Chhatra Dal; Senior Joint Convener Mobarak Shikdar; Municipal Sramik Dal Convener Abdul Hannan; Member Secretary Ashraful Alam; along with local traders and leaders and activists of the BNP and its associate organizations were also present at the event. 

Participants expressed their commitment to working together with the police to ensure a safer, more orderly, and crime-free business environment in Amuyakanda Bazar.
