High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam highlights warm hospitality and shared values during visit to Bogura and Rajshahi

National Desk: During his visit to Bogura, His Excellency Haji Haris bin Othman, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh, shared his appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the people of Bogura and reflected on the enduring friendship between Brunei Darussalam and Bangladesh.

Responding to questions from participants during the visit, the High Commissioner remarked that understanding a country goes beyond visiting its capital city, noting that “the best way to know a country is through the hearts of its people.” He described his visit to Bogura as an opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of Bangladesh’s rich history, culture, and the resilience of its communities.

The High Commissioner observed that, throughout his years of service in Bangladesh, he has been deeply impressed by the kindness, generosity, and hospitality of the Bangladeshi people. He noted that these qualities closely reflect the values shared by Brunei Darussalam, where peace, moderation, mutual respect, and strong family and community bonds remain central to society.
