Ruhul Amin, Bogura: Police have arrested Faruk Mondal, the Organising Secretary of the Shibganj Upazila unit of the Jubo League, in Bogura on charges linked to multiple political cases.According to police, Faruk Mondal was arrested at around 2:30 pm on Wednesday during an operation at his business establishment, Messrs Faruk Traders, located in Mokamtola Bazar under Shibganj Upazila.Confirming the arrest, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahinuzzaman of Shibganj Police Station said that Faruk Mondal is accused in several political cases and was taken into custody in connection with those cases.Police sources said officers conducted the operation at the marketplace before detaining him from his business premises. He was later taken to Shibganj Police Station for further legal procedures.The OC said the legal process against the accused is currently underway and that he will be produced before the appropriate court after the completion of the required formalities.No statement from Faruk Mondal or his legal representatives was immediately available at the time of filing this report.
