Bogura CorrespondentThe Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its affiliated organisations held a protest procession and rally in Shibganj upazila of Bogura on Thursday, protesting what they described as “anti-state conspiracies” and attempts to destabilise the country.The programme was organised by the Shibganj upazila and municipal BNP units and their affiliated organisations after Asr prayers. Party leaders and activists first brought out a procession from the Shibganj municipal area. The procession passed through several roads in the town before ending at Shahid Mir Mugdha Square, where they held a protest rally. Addressing the rally, BNP leaders called for united and peaceful resistance against what they termed attempts to undermine the country’s stability. They urged party activists to remain vigilant and maintain unity while responding to any efforts that could create instability or disrupt public order.Among those present were Shibganj Upazila BNP Acting President SM Tajul Islam, Organising Secretary Master Harunur Rashid and Professor Nazrul Islam, along with other local BNP leaders and activists.The speakers also called on the party’s grassroots activists to remain organised and conduct their programmes peacefully.
