Md Mizanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: National Revolution and Solidarity Day-2026 was observed in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh district on Saturday with various programmes, including a cultural event, discussion meeting and friendly football match.The upazila administration organised the programmes to mark the historic day, which commemorates the events of November 7, 1975.The discussion meeting was held at 11:00am at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, with Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sadhana Tripura in the chair.Among those present were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Shafiqul Islam, Phulpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Firoz Hossain, Phulpur Upazila BNP Convener Alhaj Siddiqur Rahman, Joint Conveners AKM Sirajul Haque and Enamul Haque Babul, and Municipal BNP Joint Convener Nazrul Islam.Other attendees included Upazila Jubo Dal President Sanowar Hossain Khan, former Vice-President of Mymensingh North District Chhatra Dal AKM Ariful Haque, Upazila Chhatra Dal Acting Convener Ibnul Hasan Rubel, Member Secretary Shah Imrul Kayes, Municipal Krishak Dal General Secretary Abul Hasnat Manik and Mymensingh North District Chhatra Dal Vice-President AKM Ashiqul Haque Manik.Heads of different government offices, local journalists and leaders and activists of the BNP and its affiliated organisations also attended the programme.Upazila Academic Supervisor Paritosh Sutradhar conducted the event.
