Shibram Adarsha Public School Advances with a Focus on Talent Development, Creativity and Humanitarian Education

Kallol Ahmed, Lalmonirhat Correspondent: Two students of Shibram Adarsha Public School have brought distinction to their institution by securing first and second places in the Group A category of a district-level handwriting competition organised by the national children’s organisation, Phulkuri Asar, in Lalmonirhat.

The outstanding achievement of the two students has sparked joy and excitement among the school's teachers, students, guardians and well-wishers.

Salman Farsi Redwan, a first-grade student of Shibram Adarsha Public School, secured first place, while Yasin Arafat, a fourth-grade student of the same institution, won second place. A student of Police Lines School and College secured third place.

To celebrate the achievement, teachers and students of the school organised a joyful procession on Saturday (November 7). The procession paraded through the main streets of the district town, with students expressing their excitement and congratulating the winners.

Earlier, at a programme held at the district auditorium on Friday afternoon, Additional Superintendent of Police Fazlul Islam and District Executive Magistrate (NDC) Al-Amin Islam handed over prizes and certificates to the winners.

First-place winner Salman Farsi Redwan said he was extremely happy to achieve the top position. He attributed his success to regular practice and encouragement from his teachers. He expressed hope of achieving further success in different competitions alongside his academic studies.

Salman's father said the family was delighted and proud of his son's achievement. He acknowledged that encouragement and inspiration from the school's teachers and family members had played an important role in his success. He also expressed the hope that his son would continue to excel academically and grow into a good human being.

Rashedul Islam Rashed, director and principal of Shibram Adarsha Public School, said securing first and second places in the same competition by two students of the institution was a matter of immense joy and pride.

"We do not limit education to textbooks alone. We place importance on developing students' intellectual abilities, creativity, moral values and hidden talents. Alongside regular academic activities, students are encouraged to participate in various competitions and extracurricular programmes," he said.

He further said that the school places special emphasis on humanitarian values. The institution has made special arrangements to provide educational opportunities to talented students from underprivileged, disadvantaged and financially struggling families.

"We are committed to ensuring that no student is deprived of the light of education because of financial hardship. One of our principal goals is to develop students into good human beings alongside providing them with quality education," he added.

Upazila Assistant Primary Education Officer Md Riazul Islam said such competitions play an important role in encouraging children to practise good handwriting and developing their concentration and creativity. Participation also helps students build confidence and develop a healthy competitive spirit. He described the achievement of the two students of Shibram Adarsha Public School as highly commendable.

The school authorities said they were creating opportunities for students to develop their talents through various competitions, cultural events and extracurricular activities alongside regular classroom teaching. The institution aims to move forward with a commitment to improving educational standards, nurturing humanitarian values and supporting students from financially disadvantaged families.

Education experts believe that the success of an educational institution should not be measured solely by examination results. Rather, its true achievement lies in nurturing students' talents, promoting moral education and humanitarian values, and ensuring educational opportunities for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The recent achievement of the two students, together with the school's initiative to support underprivileged learners, could serve as a positive example for the local education sector.
