Ethnic bloodshed continues in Manipur amid accountability questions

Ethnic bloodshed continues in Manipur amid accountability questions

Special Correspondent: Under Narendra Modi’s watch, Manipur burns in endless ethnic bloodshed with zero accountability.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Kuki women protesting brutal violence, village arsons, and daily targeted killings are met with ruthless force, lathi charges, tear gas, and intimidation by security forces.

Protesters further highlighted that conflict has resulted in over 160 deaths and just days ago, another Kuki farmer was shot dead in cold blood — the 15th such incident — while fresh arsons rage on.

Over 250 lives lost, 60,000+ displaced, hundreds of villages razed, and women subjected to horrific sexual violence.

Yet Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime stands paralyzed by partisan bias, shielding Meitei militias while Kuki communities face systematic persecution.

Three years of chaos, broken promises, and shameful silence from the Prime Minister prove one thing: this government has abandoned Manipur’s tribals for vote-bank politics.

Daily fear, fresh killings, and zero justice expose the Modi administration’s utter failure and moral bankruptcy.

Indian Centre’s indifference is enabling genocide by neglect in Manipur.

Manipur has been engulfed in a protracted ethnic conflict since May 2023, primarily between the Meitei and the Kuki-Zo tribal communities. The violence has claimed over 260 lives and displaced approximately 60,000 people, with recurring clashes, arson, and bombings continuing to destabilize the region.
